Do you believe that you can gain muscle and become beautiful by eating only plant-based food? There are three vegan heroes in our video who have proved that this is possible! At the end of the article, there’s also a bonus – we’ll tell you the five foods that vegan bodybuilders consume every day.
Torre is a handsome and charismatic athlete, bodybuilder, and blogger. Torre doesn’t really differ much from hundreds of other sporty guys, but there is one important fact that sets him apart – he is a vegan; he doesn’t eat any animal products at all. For him, it’s not just a diet but a way of life. It’s also interesting that he looks up to Arnold Schwarzenegger – who is certainly not part of vegan society!
This beautiful girl has been taking part in sporting competitions since she was 19, and she has won a lot of prizes. In interviews, Jehina admits that it wasn’t difficult for her to transition to vegan food because she was born into a vegan family. With her pro card for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness she has become quite famous. Jehina is the first vegan from birth who ever got a pro card.
Derek has been eating only plant-based food since 2007, but it’s never had a negative impact on his achievements in sport. He has a diploma in plant-based nutrition and in biology. Derek works as a personal trainer and motivates people to achieve success in sport and fitness. The sportsman became vegan because animal products had begun to affect his health. Today, Derek is happy that he made the right choice.
These are the five products that every vegan bodybuilder consumes in large amounts:
First: Beans. In order to gain muscle, you need protein. Remember to eat a lot of beans in different combinations and dishes.
Second: Oatmeal with fruit and nuts. You need healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals, and also cellulose, to support your body.
Third: Bananas. A vegan needs to get enough carbohydrates to ensure they don’t lose weight after training. Tasty and healthy bananas will help with this.
Fourth: Avocado. Healthy plant fats have a good impact on our metabolism and ensure that even the small amount of protein from plant-based food is assimilated in the most efficient way.
Fifth: Raw fruit and vegetables. Unprocessed food is a great source of the minerals that our body needs. Without them, staying healthy and gaining muscle is close to impossible.
